Look at this land and country,
Isn't it the most
beautiful?
Yet man has this strange temptation,
To turn it
to stone and concrete.
Look at that lovely blue sky,
Isn't it so mysterious?
Yet
man has a temptation,
To turn it into invisible highways.
Look at that dark moody sea,
Isn't it very awesome?
And
yet we have this funny temptation,
To cover it with oil and
junk.
Look at those evergreen forests in South America,
Isn't that
something?
Yet man has a destructive temptation,
To put
highways through it and turn it to farm.
Why, why, why?
Do these strange temptations,
Make us
blind to the destruction of our world.
