Zimbabwe indigenous ownership - helpful?

A new Zimbabwean law that forces foreign-owned companies to sell a majority stake in their businesses to indigenous people has come into effect.

One has to wonder how many 'indigenous people' after the years of hyper inflation will have the resources to invest in such companies. Only those who did well in the previous years will be able to take advantage of this making them even more richer and widening the gap between those who have and majority those who have not.

Additionally, it will discourage further outside investment in Zimbabwe at a time when it is desperately needed to create jobs and wealth.
