From this moment on...

September 25th, 2008

(With apologies to LeAnn Rimes.) All the changes I referred to in the last post, I realise, have led to something better though it may have not felt like it at the time. To para-phase another country artist, Garth, “.......... I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance......”.

No matter where you are now, it is the result of all the decisions that you have made up to this moment - as one great author (J K Rawlings, I think) said something like “....there is a time limit to blame your parents, after you take the wheel, it's all up to you....”. All the right decisions, all the wrong decisions... but wait, there can't have been any wrong, some bad ones maybe, but not wrong ones. Why? You are here, aren't you? Reading this and thinking about the things you could have done better. Not dead and buried, still live and kicking and still dreaming maybe? All the things I've done, all the things I've thought, all the feelings I've had, have led to here, right now, this moment.

The past I cannot change now but it certainly changed me! As long as I can look to the future, avoid making the same mistakes and have a clue about where I want to be, then from this moment on, I can make it happen by change, by the decisions I make.

If you think you are doing the right thing but nothing seems to change or looks like it will, think about this, apparently Albert Einstein, the genius, said “....the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results...". If you want to be rich and you aren't, then maybe you need to change summat, yeah? And for those things that you cannot or do not want to change now, change your attitude instead, you will be amazed at how different it will seem to be.

But also think about this, that so far, in nature's terms, you have had success i.e. not ended up as a crocodile's lunch, so far. The need to change and by how much will be determined by how much more successful (define success for yourself) you want to be.
